| Gandhi Peace Award Criteria The Gandhi Peace award honors individuals who, by their example, uphold and promote the abiding ideas of Gandhi's legacy including: tolerance and respect for all men and women, service for its own sake, nonviolent resistance in the face of injustice, the dignity of labor, and an appreciation for the interconnectedness of all life as a means of understanding and celebrating our differences.
